Clinical studies promoted or supported by the CARES Network aim to contribute to the development of robustand clinically relevant scientific evidence for surgical practice.Through multicenter studies,national and international collaborations, and the integration of innovative approaches, CARES promotes rigorous, transparent research focused on improving patient outcomes.

Ongoing studies:

MICROSCOPE STUDY (NCT07153224): A study examining how professional support and mentorship for early-career surgeons influence both surgeons’mental health and patient surgical outcomes.

STUDIO BOND R2024: The BOND project aims to develop an evidence-based bundle for the administration of surgical antibiotic prophylaxisand to test its dissemination and implementation in order to improve adherence and reduce surgical site infections in patients undergoing elective colorectal surgery.

ABSO-DECIDE: The survey aims to gather information from Italian centers regarding management strategies for uncomplicated small bowel obstruction due to adhesions.
